Snooki: ‘I Would Die’ If My Baby Bump Looked Like Jessica Simpson’s
As expected, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s first child will be the hottest Guido or Guidette in town.
“My baby’s gonna be naturally tan,” the 24-year-old reality star told Us Weekly at the MTV Upfronts in New York on Thursday. “If you look at me and Jionni [LaValle], we’re very dark, so luckily the baby will be very dark.”
Polizzi’s “Jersey Shore” costar Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio joked that “she’ll have to wait until her baby is 2 or 3″ before she introduces her child to the second phase of GTL.
“Just like ‘Toddlers & Tiaras!’ They spray tan those babies,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley, 25, added. “I saw them do that!”
Polizzi then assured Us, “I won’t be spray tanning my baby.”
She will, however, be dressing her baby in typical Jersey fashions. “If it’s a girl, animal print everywhere and blinged out everything,” Polizzi said. “If it’s a boy, I would dress him like Pauly.”
Polizzi added that she hasn’t been wearing maternity clothes yet. “I’m so skinny that I can wear larges or extra larges. I only just bumped up to a medium,” she revealed. “I’m five months and you can’t really see anything. It’s gonna pop up in like a week.”
The pregnant star told Us that she’s afraid her baby bump will become as large as Jessica Simpson, who is due any day. “I would die if I were her size,” Polizzi laughed.
Joked DelVecchio, 31: “She’s like 45 months pregnant right now!”
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Slams ‘Jersey Shore’ Housemates
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino wants everyone to know that GTL stands for “gym, tan, laundry” — and nothing else.
The “Jersey Shore” star has reportedly hit back at housemates Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley after they speculated about his sexuality and hinted he might be gay in an interview with HuffPost Gay Voices.
“Mike really ripped both Snooki and JWoww a new one,” a show insider told the Chicago Sun-Times. Noting that Sorrentino is concerned such comments could hurt his brand endorsements, which are focused on straight male customers, the source added, “He’s extremely upset.”
In the interview, both JWoww and Snooki implied that despite his playboy reputation, Mike has questioned his own sexuality. “He brings it up,” JWoww said. “He’ll say, ‘People think I’m gay and I don’t know what they’re talking about.’” Added Snooki: “He told me one time, ‘[All the talk is] making me wonder.’”
JWoww even compared Sorrentino to her gay best friend’s husband, who was closeted for 27 years of his life. “So because of that I know…the signs,” she said.
The Situation’s publicist called Snooki and JWoww’s speculation “the most ridiculous statement I’ve ever heard” in response, the Sun-Times notes.
It’s not the first time Sorrentino’s sexuality has been questioned. Last year, former “Jersey Shore” star Angelina Pivarnick — previously Sorrentino’s love interest — told Popeater, “I think Mike is gay. I think he’s gay because of the way he talks and the way he abuses girls. He talks down to women…I honestly feel like he’s in the closet right now; he doesn’t want to come out.”
Jersey Shore Spinoff Stalled?
Looks like the party’s not here (if here is Hoboken, New Jersey).
Back in April, we heard news that MTV greenlighted a spinoff show for Jersey Shore’s Snooki and JWoww (along with a separate show for Pauly D), but now it seems there might be a roadblock to seeing it happen.
Mayor Dawn Zimmer is not a fan of the idea and has denied the show’s production company a permit to shoot there.
According to the letter sent to MTV and obtained by E! News, Mayor Zimmer says, “After careful deliberation, the members of the film commission, including representatives from Health and Human Services, Environmental Services, and the Administration, with input from our public safety officials, have determined that in the interest of public safety and quality of life, the permit application for 495 Productions/MTV’s production of the Jersey Shore spin-off has been denied.
“We were extremely surprised to learn during our meeting with you that you filmed in public areas without a required permit in one location,” the letter continues.
“As the mayor of a community that has experienced significant corruption in the recent past, I write to put you, 495 Productions, MTV and Viacom on formal notice that there will be zero tolerance for this kind of approach in the City of Hoboken. Any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the City of Hoboken.”
Mayor Zimmer also called the production “an attractive nuisance causing crowds to assemble at every hour of the day and night, additional traffic congestion, the attendant noise associated with large public gatherings and unacceptable lessening of the quality of life for the local residents and businesses.”
This isn’t the first time Jersey Shore has been denied something from the a governmental body in New Jersey.
Back in September, Governor Chris Christie denied the show a $420,000 tax credit for the show to film in his state, claiming that he was “duty-bound” to the taxpayers for not paying “for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens.”
But if you think this will stop these two from doing their show, think again.
Snooki posted on Facebook earlier today, “NYC for lots of press with my girl Jwowwzers ! love my booboo! Can’t wait for our spinoff!!”
The show must go on…
JWoww’s New Face, Dramatic Weight Loss Shocks ‘Jersey Shore’ Fans
When fans tuned into the season four premiere of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” on Thursday night, they couldn’t help but notice the one of the cast member’s body and face looked remarkably different.
In addition to dropping what appeared to be a significant amount of weight, Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s features seemed enhanced by injectables like Botox to her crow’s feet and forehead, as well as possible fillers around her nose and mouth.
The buxom brunette has always been open about her large breast implants, revealing to Harper’s Baazar “I would do it every year if I could.”
Back in December of last year, Farley, told Us Weekly that while she still enjoys junk food and alcohol, the secret to maintaining her physique is moderation and regular workouts. “I’ll still eat junk food, cheesecake, cheese, pizza, but just lower amounts of it,” she told Us at the Ab Cuts event in New York. The star said she takes the nutritional supplement once or twice a day. “It’s for overall health and for feeling good about yourself.”
For workouts, the MTV personality has a special relationship with her trainer. “My boyfriend trains me,” the 24-year-old said. “He’s a big bodybuilder.”
Snooki, Rob Kardashian and Christina Milian in Talks for ‘DWTS,’ Say Sources
She’s had plenty of experience dancing in nightclubs, but does Snooki have what it takes to win the mirror ball trophy on “Dancing With the Stars”?
Sources tell the new issue of Us Weekly (out Wednesday) that the 23-year-old “Jersey Shore” star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, is in talks to shake her stuff on Season 13 of the ABC hit, premiering Sept. 19.
Snooki isn’t the only reality star being considered: Rob Kardashian, 24, is also said to be in discussions with the network. “Rob is such a low-key guy, so it would be interesting to see if he’d come out of his shell,” a source says. (Here’s hoping that he fares better than his sister Kim Kardashian, 30, who competed in 2008 and was kicked off on the third week!)
Other potential hoofers? Mike Tyson, 45, “is being considered,” explains a second insider (though the boxer’s rep says this is not true). Plus, producers are talking to R&B singer Christina Milian, 29. “She’s a possibility!” the source tells Us.
Snooki Splits With Boyfriend
Us Weekly and Life & Style report the Snooki Dogg (aka known as Nicole Polizzi) had a falling out with Jionni LaValle after almost eight months of Smushing!
“Snooki and her boyfriend have split up,” an insider tells L&S. “He went to visit her in Italy this past week. They fought a lot while he was there and have called it quits.”
Adds an Us snitch, “[He] came home early.”
MTV’s cameras rolled on the reality show’s fourth season a few days back, Snooki, 22, was snapped bundled up in Jionni’s arms, with a sad look on her face after a fight at a club the night before.
“He said it was hard for them to be apart, and that with the whole world knowing her past, he finds it very hard to trust her,” tattles a LaValle source to L&S. “I think he was just really sad about being away from her so much. I’m not sure who broke up with whom — it seems to be mutual because of the distance and the time apart.”
Nothing to be really sad about. The Roly Poly always bounces back.
‘Jersey Shore’ castmates duke it out in Florence, Italy.
Here we go again! The cast of “The Jersey Shore” are doing their best to represent America to the fullest. According to TMZ, tempers flared and blows were distributed between castmates Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro as they filmed their MTV show Monday night in Florence, Italy.
‘Parola per le strade’ aka ‘word on da streets’ is, the brawl began when on again-off again flames Ronnie and Samantha “Sammi” Giancola got into yet another argument. The ‘Sitch’ jumped in as a mediator or instigator which led to “a major fistfight” between Ronnie and The Situation, which evidently left both with cuts and bruises.
In paparazzi photos of the ‘juice-heads’ returning home, the barefoot, hoodie-rocking Situation can be seen with scratches around his left eye and on his fivehead.
As a badge of honor, Ronnie was snapped removing a bandage on his bloody knuckles before climbing out of his car.
This situation (no pun intended) was brewing for a long time as “The Situation” always found a way to interject himself in the middle of this rocky relationship.
We can all add this new altercation as another reason why Florence is second guessing their decision to allow the cast to promote Italy’s culture. Good luck with that happening.
Not that this is going to change anything. When the show airs, the public will be glued to every minute of this bizarre phenomenon.
‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Get Six-Figure Payday
So it does pay to clown around on TV. According to Entertainment Weekly, the stars of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ will reportedly receive at least $100,000 per episode for Season 4. With 13 episodes planned for the upcoming season, the cast is ready to cash in to purchase more GTL packages at the local fitness center.
Sources claimed, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio were reportedly holding up contract negotiations for the next season, which led to a delay in their scheduled Italian trip. Persistence pays off as the group was asking for more money, and now they have it in the form of a six-figure paycheck per episode.
With the huge success of this MTV hit, it’s no wonder they wanted a bigger piece of the pie. The cast reportedly made $10,000 per episode for Season 2, and around $30,000 per episode for Season 3.
And while the $100,000 per episode paycheck is certainly a lot of cheddar, it’s nothing compared to the stars’ annual income from club appearances and endorsements. It’s been reported that The Situation’s annual income is around the $6 million range.
Love them or hate the,, these guys have re-written the script for Reality TV success. Can they sustain the momentum? …Does it even matter any more?
Rutgers defends Snooki’s appearance
(Reuters) – A U.S. university defended spending about $32,000 to bring reality television star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to campus this week, despite several students questioning if it was a wise use of money.
The speaking fee Rutgers University in New Jersey paid to the star of the MTV reality television series “The Jersey Shore” is $2,000 more than Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winning author Toni Morrison will receive to speak at graduation on May 15.
“We have more than 200 events on our campus during the course of the year, everything from scholarly presentations to entertainment,” Rutgers spokesman Steve Manas said. “The students canvassed for who they wanted here and had the funds available.”
More than 1,000 people came to the university to hear Snooki speak Thursday.
Student Hina Rehman, 20, said she found it disappointing her tuition money was going to fund the event.
“The fact that our school spent $32,000 to bring her is ridiculous,” she said. “It’s fine the money used here is meant for entertainment purposes, but I think we can get better entertainment than that.”
Manas said the event was funded by the Rutgers University Programing Association, a student events group that receives some of the mandatory fees tacked onto tuition. The university will pay Morrison for her commencement speech with money from a deal with beverage company Pepsi.
“PepsiCo has a vending contract with Rutgers,” Manas said. “That money can be used in a variety of ways. The money supports enhancing student life and the university community.”
The displeased student said regardless of the source of the money for either event, she still found it appalling the school spent more money on Snooki than an esteemed author praised for her extensive writing on African American women.
“The fact that our school spent more money on her than Toni Morrison is a little ludicrous,” Rehman said. “Snooki has no accomplishments or achievements that are worthy of that money.”
Student Josh Kaufmann, 19, attended the event and said he doesn’t understand the outcry over Snooki’s paid appearance.
“She did two events and they were both jam packed with lines out the door,” he said. “I don’t watch ‘The Jersey Shore’, but it’s a popular TV show and the money went toward a really good event. I don’t care however much money the school spends on bringing someone as long as it’s someone that is going to be popular among students.”
Situation Leaving Jersey Shore To Pursue Movie Career
Mike Sorrentino, aka “The Situation” on Jersey Shore, is comparing himself to Michael Jordan who dominated his sport with talent and determination. Like Jordan, Sorrentino has already branched out to extend his dominance to other fields. He penned a self-help book and starred in his own workout DVD.
The Situation, launched his own cologne “The Sitch” and was on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” last season. “There’s only so long you can rule the reality world,” he said. “Maybe another year or so of reality, and then I’m gonna graduate to movies.”
Jersey Shore is currently in its third season with a 4th season scheduled over seas in Italy. Seems like the cast mates are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So far, Pauly D, Snooki and JWOWW have already started their own MTV spinoff reality shows. We guess all good things must come to an end.
