‘Two and a Half Men’ crew wants to kick Charlie in the Sheen!
After Charlie Sheen’s epic cocaine and porn star fueled bender last week, CBS has put “Two and a Half Men” on hiatus while the troubled star reportedly undergoes treatment at home, as his “great time” has apparently left his co-workers bent out of shape.
“We are really p—-d,” a crew member grumbles to E! Online. “A lot of us do not get paid if we don’t work. So, if he’s off getting rehabbed, or porn-o-ing, or whatever, we’re screwed.”
According to TMZ, even Jon Cryer is taking a financial hit over the production halt, losing $400,000 per episode.
The crew faced a similar problem last year, when the top-rated CBS sitcom was put on hold when Sheen checked into rehab, a move that came a couple months after his Christmas Day arrest in Aspen over a domestic dispute with wife Brooke Mueller.
“To the best of my knowledge,” says another insider, “the crew wasn’t paid back then, either.”
But the crew’s time off might not last too long.
TMZ reports that Charlie, who earns $2 million an episode, could be back on the set in three to four weeks, and producers are hoping to film makeup episodes at the end of the season (so far, 16 of 24 episodes have been completed).
Will this time in rehab be the charm? Let’s hope so for the sake of Charlie, CBS and the rest of the crew still waiting on a paycheck.
