Is James Franco giving up acting to become a college professor?
After being stuck in a hole for about 127 hours, Franco has managed to land a gig teaching a master course at Columbia College Hollywood. With an unconventional, non-linear career that’s kept everyone in Hollywood guessing, it’s fitting it would be an editing class.
The course, called “Master Class: Editing James Franco…with James Franco,” will allow 12 of Columbia College’s best editing students to work with Franco and his frequent collaborator editor Tyler Danna in creating a 30 minute documentary from footage of Franco’s career.
Franco’s collaborator and editor, Tyler Danna, will help teach the class. The students will have access to the short films Franco’s directed as they try to produce a film in the “James Franco style.”
Since Franco is in school at Yale, he will spend most of the time teaching class via Skype.
Franco is also co-hosting the Oscars and just signed up to work on Broadway’s “Sweet Bird of Youth.”
Is there anything this “MADMAN” can’t do? Dare we ask?
